Meet Robbi
Robbi is a fun way for your child to intereact with the robot by downloading apps onto your iphone or ipod and slipping your device into the faceplate of the Robbi & watch him come alive! Robbi, the adorable iLearn ‘N’ Play learning companion, will provide children with hours of fun learning. The intelligent learning apps use Bluetooth technology to connect the iPod/iPhone to the unit. The apps ask children to use the 10 chunky numbers in Robbi’s tummy to focus on teaching beginning numbers, counting, addition/subtraction, colors, shapes and greater than/less than numbers.
Each Robbi unit comes with a free “app bundle” containing three learning levels of Robbi Numberbots. This fun learning app helps young children learn about numbers and counting. The Numberbots app encourages children to engage with simple math learning based on Early Years Foundation Stage objectives, such as number recognition and adding sums.
My Review:
Setting up the Robbi was pretty easy though it did take some time to figure out since there were no directions.
You have to insert your phone in the back of Robbi’s head.
*note~ you must take off your Iphone or Ipod cover for it to fit
This is where I got confused. I put batteries in and turned Robbi on. I was expecting it to say something
but instead heard nothing. I honestly thought I got a dud. That is until I figured out that you have to
push the red button on his head! Duh!! Ok. Once you turn your Robbi on you have to sinc it
to the bluetooth on your Ipod or Iphone.
Once your Robbi is set up it’s time to play! The free apps are great and
I love that Caden can learn & play at the same time!
Caden loves his Robbi and takes him
every where we go! It’s great to keep him busy & learn at the same time!
