I remember one Christmas Eve when I was babysitting my younger siblings while my parents were out. I fell asleep on the couch and one of my brothers snuck downstairs and ate an entire box of chocolates!
Going yt spend this Christmas with the kids – first since they started their family… and now their son has begun family, so I will get to share with the new great-grandbaby..

It’s a tradition in my family that we all get together on Christmas Eve usually at my Dads or Brothers house-We always have a great dinner , drinks, open presents and just enjoy each others company.Then we always spend Christmas Day with our smaller families in our own homes.I can remember my mom getting excited over decorating the tree from the time I was a little girl.She loved to have a flocked tree every year.

My favorite part of Christmas is going to see all the Christmas lights there are several places here in Portland PIR and the Grotto are a couple. I also love waking up Christmas morning and watching the excitement my son has when he opens his presents.

My best memory is having big family Christmases when I was little. We all gathered at my grandmothers ( I lived there) & had so much fun together. Since my grandmother passed away years ago we no longer get together on Christmas. I really miss it. Now its just me, hubby & our teenage son.
My favourite thing about Christmas is that so many people are willing to give to others who are in need.

My best memory is hearing my grandfather saying that we needed to open presents now because the grandkids just couldn’t wait any longer — and knowing that he was more excited about getting at the presents than the children were.

My best Christmas was years ago when I was in GS and played Santa at a nursing home party. One lady was unable to come down to the party and I got to go up and see her. She was such an inspiration to me. She was 90 yrs. old and I don’t know her name or anything — just the fact that she was such a wonderful lady! It has to be over 30 yrs ago but each year at Christmas I think of her!

my family always makes Christmas last all day long! We open one present at a time, while everyone else watches, and that way we all see what everyone gets, and we get to spend the Whole Day together, rather than ripping everything open in 10 minutes and being bored the rest of the day

We always go to Christmas Eve Mass together and then come back for a light supper with close friends and just enjoy each other’s company.
I love bafking. Every year I bake tons of cookies – I pull out all the old recipes that my Gram used to make (Czech and some others) and then I give them as gifts to friends….they love it.
Spending time with family.
I love everything about Christmas–from shopping and wrapping to the music to decorating. Everyone is so happy and pleasant. It’s really the most magical time of the year!
